The Pros and Cons of Electronic Casino Table Games

There was a point in time that the slot machines are recognizable as slot machines and the casino table games are casino table games. The two games did not ever meet at all. There was a minimum mixed up in some players who play video blackjack on single gaming machines. But the important term here is the single player.

Casino table games are a good social event, which cannot be experienced on electronic machine games. That has certainly changed over the years with the development of multiplayer electronic casino table games like Shufflemaster's Rapid Roulette and Vegas Star, DigiDeal's Digital twenty-one, Novomatic's TouchBet roulette and sic bo.

Slot machine makers Aristocrat and Atronic have both joined the ongoing phenomenon by making electronic roulette games and IGT, the biggest slot maker in the world, is collaborating with DigiDeal on making a series of slot games. All of these games incorporate the multiplayer casino table game experience in a digital format. Some utilize a live casino dealer for the whole game play, while the payout is made electronically.

Other games like the Vegas Star, the cards, the roll of the dice are made by an RNG. At the Global Gambling Expo held at the Las Vegas Convention Center last year, the survey made by FutureWatch which is commissioned by the American Gaming Association examines the future of electronic casino table games. Casino market experts were queried what the future will bring for traditional casino games that are featured in an electronic format.

About 69% of the industry experts commented that the future looks very bright for the industry. About 14% say that the future is very bleak for the industry. Almost 64% of the respondents are not aware of the growing presence of electronic casino table games in U.S. based casino facilities.

When the respondents are asked about what games are best to be offered in electronic format, about thirty seven percent of them said blackjack, twenty percent of them said poker, nineteen percent said craps, nineteen percent roulette and no one from the respondents pick baccarat. But industry experts commented that they do not fully expect electronic games to become the main staple among gaming pits.

Why? Most players said that they want to maintain the level of social interaction among the games and that the game will not be as entertaining if it is an electronic game. Aside from that, the intimidation factor is less in a live casino table compared with an electronic game.

Intimidation is certainly an important factor to consider with the casino table games. Craps can be pretty frustrating for a beginner because of the different wagers. Picking out the good bet from the bad one is really impossible without any help and electronic version will scale down that worry.

Even with that belief, electronic casino table games can really help make the expenses from running casino table games a lot cheaper and it will be a less burden to the gambling supervisors. On the other hand, live casino table games play in a much faster pace.
